Thomas J. White

Tom White is Director of Economic Development at North Carolina State University. He has devoted his career to job training and economic development initiatives with a particular focus on the underemployed and underprivileged. He was formerly President and CEO of the Durham Chamber of Commerce and Director of the Division of Employment and Training for the State of North Carolina’s Department of Commerce. Among his civic activities, he is Vice Chair of the Emily Kryzewski Center in Durham. He is a graduate of Duke University where he was a member of the golf team, and received a Masters of Public Administration from North Carolina State University.
